    Dance Composition

    It provides a creative space for participants to create their own original choreography using the basic elements of dance. In this workshop, participants both develop their technical skills and explore the expressive power of dance in depth. The workshop, which requires continuity and must last at least 8 weeks, works on basic concepts such as movement, rhythm, space, dynamics and choreography, and teaches how to bring these elements together to create a meaningful and aesthetic dance composition.

    Outcomes

    • During the workshop, participants work individually and in groups to create their own dance phrases and choreographies.

  • Dance with Armenian Alphabet & Any Alphabeth

    Dance with Armenian Alphabet & Any Alphabeth

    Dance with Armenian Alphabet is a unique and alternative workshop on Armenian culture and alphabet through contemporary dance & movement. It is for everyone and all ages who are interested in dancing, learning and cultures. Each class includes Armenian letters and its own special developed movement series in connection to each letter’s own symbolic meaning and numerological value.
    The workshop offers participants a creative dance experience by exploring the art of expressing and researching letters through body language. Each letter becomes a movement, and each word turns into a dance phrase, providing participants with the opportunity to express both abstract and concrete thoughts through their bodies. Throughout the workshop, participants engage in individual and group exercises, creating alphabet-based dance phrases and transforming these phrases into dance compositions.
    The workshop develop by Lerna Babikyan in 2017, Berlin then applied in varied cities though varied alphabets as well, such as Runic, Japanese, Sumerian etc.. It is suitable for both beginners and experienced dancers

    Outcomes

    • Help participants to embody the letters, creates organic experimental moments of learning by opening the space for further linguistic connections; such as words, sentences etc.
    • Develop motor skills, supports physical and cognitive development
    • Enhancing their bodily awareness while discovering new ways of expression.

In this workshop, children explore the world of the alphabet by embodying each letter through movement. Every letter is expressed with a dance move or a physical gesture, allowing children to learn the shapes, sounds, and meanings of the letters while also improving their coordination and flexibility.
