Dance with Armeninan Alphabet

Dance with the Armenian Alphabet is a playful and creative movement workshop that introduces children (and optionally parents and children together) to the Armenian alphabet through the body, imagination, and sensory exploration.

In this workshop, each letter becomes a movement, a shape, a rhythm, and a story. Through guided improvisation, embodied exercises, and creative play, participants explore the sounds, forms, and symbolic qualities of the Armenian letters—transforming language learning into a living, physical experience.

Depending on the context and needs, the workshop can be tailored to support the following intentions:

  • Early language learning/ familiarisation with the Armenian language and alphabet
  • Cultural learning, connection and heritage exploration
  • Creative expression through movement and/or storytelling
  • Parent–child bonding through shared embodied play

Rooted in somatic awareness and developmental movement principles, the sessions encourage participants to learn through doing, sensing, and imagining—rather than memorisation alone.

The workshop can be adapted for different age groups and settings, including children-only groups or parent–child sessions. No prior dance or language experience is needed.
